Evil Eye Meaning

Our society has become too engrossed on science and technology that we pay little attention to beliefs like that of the evil eye. Some even laugh at it as they see it as one of those ridiculous ancient superstitions. The idea of the evil eye maybe as old as time, but it is definitely real. In fact, the truth of the evil eye has been mentioned in the Bible and belief in it is in existent in almost all parts of the world.

At its most rudimentary aspect, the evil eye is an envious look made by one that can cast a curse cause harm, ill health, or bad luck to another.

The effects is attributed to evil forces, be it bad spirits, witches or just the plain malicious envy of the person who has cast the look. However, there are instances when the evil eye may be cast by an innocent person, such as a friend or a relative that is visiting you, who has no intention to cause harm to you.

Under these circumstances, the innocent person has been cursed and possessed by an evil person who wishes to indirectly cause destruction. Also, it is to be noted that the evil eye’s effects are not just confined to the body of the victim, but it may also bring bad omen to his animals or plants in his possession.
